@elonmusk "...the only realistic way to address advanced AI bot swarms taking over." I know you're smarter than this. If you see this as an actual problem and don't have the will to moderate it, you could do what Anybrain does. Fight AI with AI.
@ragoozer Does Deepwoken use any form of lag compensation for its combat? Or is slowing the player while attacking Deepwoken's way of handling latency in combat? Maybe dynamic hitbox sizes? I'm really curious.
@Roblox@robloxdevrel
This is bullshit, I've uploaded about 5 mining hit sounds, and TWO sword swinging sounds for my game. It would've been 3 but I hit the monthly limit. So now I can't work on my game for 21 days because I can't use vital sounds??? wtf

@KrisMasterKM@SnakeWorl For a game to be completely playable on the client. All (or most) server-side scripts and services would have to be replicated to the client and ran locally. This would put the whole game at risk of being stolen - that's what I mean
@KrisMasterKM@SnakeWorl Somebody can find a way to spoof your security and no matter what type of encryption it is, the code is still there somewhere and can be found / taken
@KrisMasterKM@SnakeWorl Not to mention the small market for single-player games and how much that would cut off access to APIs and a whole new system for storing data in the client would need to be made
@KrisMasterKM@SnakeWorl You'd never truly be able to make it uncopyable. The games would have to opt it knowing the risk. And depending on how you do it, hiding the code behind layers of encryption is going to slow down the game. Good idea though, we need more creative people like you giving these ideas
@ragoozer@RealDaireb I'm glad people like you exist and get it! If you see this I wish you an amazing rest of your day/night and hope you find joy in everything you create
@SnakeWorl Nobody knows game design, it's probably someone with a vision hiring professionals for a game that wont be tested just to last for a few months
