@beatonna We're in a similar situation in the Coxheath Hills outside of Sydney.
They want to reopen a copper mine that closed a century ago, but massively increase its footprint to displace at least a dozen homes.

My letter to the editor was yesterday, and you can learn a lot in a day when your post goes viral. This morning's thoughts. @nsgov is not interested in environmental protection or the public voice. There is no transparency. We need help to stop it. We are only a small community.

It's clear that Tory Rushton, Tim Huston - they're not just going to "have conversations" about this golf course, but that they have already had them. Maybe figuring out how to say that actually, this is in our best interest. Whatever it is, it's being done without accountability
