Any one out there road-training their seeding tender? This is our current setup, looking to add 5,000L of extra flexiN to the truck to round out box fills. Obvious problems would be getting the truck bogged more often. Other than having 2 trucks just wondering what others do.
@julesontwits@andrewdunx@matt_barrie@samstrades@loadshift@JEChalmers@9NewsAUS The issue isn't price but supply. High price keeps demand to need not want
A quasi rationing
What should happen is don't announce it but wait it out then when supply corrects retrospectively cut excise at the prior peak period to relieve that cost on those who really needed it.
After advice on which brands of coulters to use on a 10inch DBS, abrasive soils with stone. Reasonable investment on genuine Ausplow assemblies but interested to hear from anyone running other brands, K Lines etc
Thanks
@ipaddockapps I'll have to read the article. Does it say what soil type the tests were done with and what rainfall? And where was most of it lost? Leaching or volatilisation?
The two Bondi shooters weren’t members of a hate group and they didn’t participate in hate speech in public or online. They were however on a terrorist watch list and out intelligence agencies failed to watch them.
Rather than push 200 pages of new laws which remove freedoms from all Australians, one simple law would prevent an attack like this from occurring again,
DON’T LET PEOPLE ON A TERRORIST WATCH LIST TO HAVE A GUN LICENCE AND OWN GUNS
IF ASIO and the AFP can’t stop a person on a terrorist watch list from owning guns then they won’t be able to stop a person on a hate group list from owning one either. The responsibility should be on them not on us!
Simple
@NtDrifter Being overly generous to @AlboMP Government there George!
Nothing complacent about it.
National federal funding for Australia's Rabbit Biocontrol Pipeline Strategy ceased in 2022!
Its not complacency when its intentional...
3rd try at lentils better than the previous attempts. However with lentil prices where they are I won’t try again next year.
Thunder south of blue line are a huge improvement on bolt.
Peas will continue to be our legume, better agronomics and harvestability
The perverse penalty for crop residue (which improve soil C) is a show-stopper failure in emissions accounting for agriculture.
Primary school science tells us that the C in plants came from the air, yet when a portion returns to the air it is counted as emissions. Total rubbish
@RHarris302@CasFarmerCD@Rock26Crosby Delivered all but about a ton. Wouldn't be concerned about a thing unless more than maybe 15mm predicated. If you get it out strait away there's no issue
@RHarris302@CasFarmerCD@Rock26Crosby We had 70mm on top of a 100t open top silo full of canola. Made the error of not opening the bottom door. Couldn't even get the chaser bin in the paddock for a few days so by the time we tried to empty it there was a blocked auger that took a bit of work to free up.
When did Australians become a bunch of welfare hungry socialists?
Here’s some figures for those hating on high income earners.
10.3m Aussies paid tax out of 27m people
Of the $267bn income tax collected:
Top 1% paid 20%
Top 10% paid 52%
Bottom 50% paid 11%
16.7m paid no tax
The WA Firearms Portal is supposed to make things easier. Instead, it's locking people out across the state.
• Error messages
• Weeks of waiting
• Manual processing behind a fake digital front
I looked into the source code — it’s not even automated. Just another layer of red tape dressed up as “progress.”
People are trying to follow the law, and the system is making it impossible.
Is it going to work this year? Or is this just another case of the government failing the bush?
