Prepping for faculty retreat where our main goal is to revise our rotations based on the new ACGME guidelines for Family Medicine. Looking forward to fun curriculum development and team building!

We are excited to host a discussion with our residents, faculty, and staff by showing "The Color of Care" through two lunchtime discussions. Thank you to OUWB for providing us with this opportunity to build community, challenge our biases, and take better care of our patients.
Having a good old pumpkin decorating contest to relax and enjoy each other’s company. Thanks to our Well-being committee for organizing regular experiences during didactics!
It’s really happening! We toured our new clinic which is under construction on the campus of Beaumont Grosse Pointe. We are thankful for the support of our hospital and Corewell Health for this new space to serve our community.
Nature is an important part of wellbeing. We toured the grounds of the Edsel and Eleanor Ford House during one of our monthly experiential wellbeing seminars during lectures. Our Wellbeing Committee meets regularly to discuss our curriculum with resident input. #outdoors
Listening as a team to a panel to discuss suicide amongst physicians and what we can do to help our colleagues. We are battling stigma and showing support because if we can’t talk about it, who will? #NPSADay
Volunteered Earthworks via the @CapSoupKitchen , helping to weed the gardens they use to feed the community with organic produce. We are honored to have the time to serve and also develop our relationships and foster wellbeing.
A beautiful day interacting with walkers out @DetroitRvrfrnt. We then enjoyed a tour of the eastside of Detroit with @cityinstitute_ who provided context to our community. Ended the day in Southwest Detroit & Beaumont River Rouge Teen Health Center. This is community medicine!
What better way to welcome our new residents than serving those seeking services @PopeFrancisCntr. It’s a privilege to serve and help with any medical needs. Thanks to our co-chief Dr. Smith for helping orient half of our new residency class.
Community medicine is fun! We enjoyed talking to the Dearborn Heights community about the value of sleep with Dr. Nguyen and Dr. Kommana providing excellent advice and answering questions from an engaged crowd.
Proud to attend the Suicide Prevention Walk and Mental Health Fair at Grosse Pointe North with excellent organizations promoting mental health like Kevin's Song. We are proud of our coalition, @healthygrossepointe, for promoting mental health and reducing stigma.
