Calling someone a LOCAL GIRL as though it is an insult says far more about you than it does about them. And this whole narrative about CLASSISM needs to be examined properly. Not every difference in lifestyle, background, exposure, or social circle is classism. Sometimes people simply have different experiences, preferences and circumstances. You can dislike someone, disagree with their choices, or even criticize their behaviour without reducing them to where they come from or using LOCAL GIRL as a derogatory label. There is nothing embarrassing about being local, and there is certainly nothing inherently superior about being exposed wealthy, or from a particular social class.
