Beaver Sailing Club is the place for you, whether you want to learn to sail, join in our club racing, develop your skills to competitive levels or just have fun

It’s the Platinum Jubilee Regatta this weekend, 2 handicap races followed by a pursuit race on both Sat and Sun. 11:30am start both days. BBQ Sat evening and camping all weekend. Daily prize giving and overall winner.

We have water…bring your own BBQ on Sun 29 from 6pm, time to socialise again. Working weekend 11/12 Sept to get the club looking tidy after it’s long sleep, all welcome. Please bring you own DIY tools, gardening tools etc. Lots of little jobs need doing as well as the BIG ones.

How many of our members are taking part in the RS400, 2 day open meeting at Yorkshire Dales SC this weekend? There is a BBQ on the Saturday night, free camping in tents or Motorhomes too…

We visited the club this morning and spoke to the chaps repairing the canal breach, it’s obvious that our Boxing Day bottle race will not be taking place because of the lack of water in the reservoir.
Please spread the word to so folks don’t arrive on the 26th expecting to sail.

Following the latest @RYA guidance on sailing post December 2nd lock down period it has been agreed that water sport activities at BSC can commence December 3rd. Ensure you come prepared for Winter sailing with no access to the clubhouse changing/shower/galley/lounge facilities.

Due to the current restrictions the committee have decided to close the clubhouse totally during lockdown and there will be no organised sailing.

BEAVER WINTER SERIES, 32 race open series (weather permitting) Sunday’s from 6/1/19 to 24/2/19, 4 races a day, 10:30am start.
Full series £80 for visitors and £20 for members. Club open at 9am for rigging, includes berth in the secure compound for 8 weeks.
Hot food available.

Next Sunday is the last racing day before Christmas so why not dally a while after sailing and join us for a mince pie and some mulled wine. It’s a good opportunity to give out your Christmas cards and have a catch up. You can also return your trophies to Peter. See you there.
