first on the list is Zack Beavin. the Kentucky native is a 2020 Olympic Trials Qualifier, 5:03 50 mile PB, Strolling Jim course record holder, and USA 100K National team qualifier 😱@beavinz you are on the list and i want to beat you in an ultra marathon.
What a fun year!
I’ve been coaching in some capacity for the better part of 4 years, but I finally leaned in and formalized this year.
It was an honor to coach a variety of athletes chasing all sorts of goals at these races in 2022. I can’t wait for 2023!
Also worth mentioning a sub 5 hour 50 miles is a real possibility at TunnelHill. Zack Beavin came oh so close with a 5:03:06 at the finish of the 2020 50 mile race. The course for the 50 is 50.1314, so Beavins time for the 50 miles is a bit quicker and closer to 5:02 @beavinz
Happy #NationalComingOutDay!
Not to be all “it gets better” but this weekend I got to attend my first gay wedding with my bf & his awesome family, which provided the opportunity for his mom to take embarrassing videos of us dancing.
Coming out makes life pretty great. 🥰🌈
I feel like people assume @beavinz and I always run together every day… in reality the 6-day streak we have going currently is a record by quite a margin.
Will we make it a week?? Only time (and my Friday meeting schedule) will tell
good luck to my Tunnel Hill buddy, Zack Beavin this weekend at the 2022 IAU 100K World Championship. and good luck to his boyfriend, David Melly who has the most stressful job, bottle handoffs. #DreamTeam
