@robert995581 @mr_dsantos Personally, it's firing all of the librarians claiming schools don't need their libraries that did it for me. Texas used to lead in school library programs (Laura Bush anyone?) but I guess we don't mind being in the bottom for literacy for a whole generation.

@Chambertunes @mr_dsantos @SemaAmore Absolutely, but the state is holding funds we could use w/o Harris County voters to approve their own methods of funding. This bond creates schools not suitable for a diverse and thriving student futures - research "NES" schools, the ones they really want to build.

Just heard @houstonlibrary leaders read my column, & they will be updating signage near the copiers/printers to tell users they can print for free whether they have cards or not.

Was also told librarygoers can now ask to print for free if they would be burdened by the $10 hold.
