Predictably, the IMF is peddling the myth that govt spending is paid for by taxation, which is complete bollocks. The govt issues the currency so it has access to all the money it needs.

Taxation is essential to control inflation, create a value for the currency and influence consumer spending, etc, but NOT to fund govt spending.

The neoliberal establishment want you to believe that a good society is unaffordable. They want you to think that unless we pamper billionaires they would emigrate leaving us without the tax revenues to pay for the NHS etc. But that's a pile of horseshit. We don't need wealthy elites. In fact these spivs are inimical to a good society.

So, don't be fooled by these crooks. A good society is there for the taking, we just need to stand together to demand it and not be sidetracked by Establishment shills like @reformparty_uk who are just playing the divide and rule game to maintain the economic status quo.
