"Access needs are not excuses. They are part of the pressure map." - Pressure Bias Guide
Some pressure situations are not only about persuasion. They are also about how a person's body, nervous system, speech, attention, memory, sensory load, or reading process responds when the room gets fast. #Neurodivergence is a useful word here because it gives readers a respectful way to talk about different patterns of processing and communication without treating the person as broken.
The chapters that follow focus on disability-related pressure and communication access needs. Stuttering, ADHD, autistic communication, dyslexia, anxiety, and similar experiences can all change how pressure feels.
Cultural pressure often works by making clarity feel disrespectful. But vague agreement can create more damage later: hidden resentment, misunderstood obligations, and public conflict.
One line I use in my book Pause Before Yes:
“I want to preserve the relationship, so I need to be clear before I agree.”
The goal is not to be cold. The goal is to keep respect from becoming automatic compliance.

2/10 Social Pressure
**Signal:** Popularity, belonging, comparison, guilt, or an audience is used as evidence.
**Question:** Does this fit my criteria, or does it only feel safer because other people are involved?
**Response:** Validate the relationship if needed, then return to fit, criteria, and private review.
1/10 Time-Based Pressure
**Signal:** Speed is treated as proof, and delay is made to feel dangerous.
**Question:** What exactly changes if I wait?
**Response:** Slow down, verify the deadline, move the terms into writing, and decide whether losing the option is acceptable.

There is absolutely no reason for you, as a man, to have normie social media with your face and name attached to it. All this does is allow people to dox you and ruin your life for having the wrong opinion.
@0xTommyThomas How to handle domain names and resources? Do you manage individual domains or use subdomains and shared api keys and databases to reduce cost and complexity?
Culture I grew up in doesn’t believe in perverted ideologies like autism or gay or stuttering. I made app Phrases to say to help with English speaking situations as someone whose native language isn’t English. Instead of autism, someone may just be missing practical phrases to say. https://t.co/fzePxMI495
@raphaelgemo@theapriorist Voluntary stuttering and voluntary autism expression. I talk about stuttering pressure in my pressure book. https://t.co/uxy0NcnVTw
@raphaelgemo@theapriorist As a person who stutters, I learned to describe masking and it’s exhausting. Perhaps involuntary autism like I volunteering stuttering to lower the tension as another strategy.
