SUNOO found fame as the Vocalist of the hugely popular chart-topping, history-making, top-selling K-Pop band, ENHYPEN! His vocal prowess, captivating stage presence and emotional depth during I-LAND helped secure his debut! He is known for his breathtaking high notes and heartfelt ad-libs that touch millions. His graceful dance lines, quick song memorization, and natural charisma have earned him praise as a “stage genius.” Beyond the spotlight, Sunoo shines even brighter as the 2025 Sharing Icon of the Year, having received the prestigious Ministerial Award for his inspiring acts of kindness that encouraged global fans to spread positivity. Sunoo was born in Suwon, Gyneonoggi, South Korea and was a student council member and also the class president when he was in middle school where his schoolmates referred to him as “Sam-oh oppa” (Year 3, Class 5 handsome oppa). Sunoo trained for ten months before taking part in I-LAND. He was the producers’ pick in the final of I-LAND! He and Jake performed TXT‘s Crown in the first episode of I-LAND with Youngbin! The final lineup of Heeseung, Jay, Jake, Sunghoon, Sunoo, Jungwon, and Ni-Ki was announced on the live television broadcast of the ILAND finale! Sunoo graduated at the Chilbo High School before joining Big Hit as a member of ENHYPEN on November 30th, 2020 with the EP 'Border: Day One' which charted at #39 on the Japanese Oricon 2020 Yearly Album Chart and at #2 on the South Korean Gaon Album Chart, selling 318,528 copies in one day domestically and becoming the highest-selling album debut album by a K-Pop group of 2020! 2 weeks later the band won the 'Next Leader Award' at the 2020 Fact Music Awards. In February 2021, 'Border: Day One' was certified platinum in Korea, the group's first certification! Their 2nd EP, 'Border: Carnival', debuted at #1 on the Oricon Albums Chart, the group's first chart-topper in Japan, with over 83,000 copies sold and at #18 on the US Billboard 200! 'Dimension: Dilemma', Enhypen's debut studio album, was released on October 12, 2021 and topped the Oricon Album Chart in Japan and Gaon Album Chart in Korea. It debuted at #11 on the Billboard 200, surpassing their previous peak with 'Border: Carnival' and sold over 1.1 million copies on the Gaon charts, becoming the group's first-ever million-selling album! 'Dimension: Answer', a repackaged version of 'Dimension: Dilemma' was released on January 10, 2022. The album hit #1 on both the Gaon Album Chart and Oricon Albums Chart, making it Enhypen's 3rd consecutive album to top the Japanese chart. 'Dimension: Answer' hit #13, on the Billboard 200, becoming the group's 3rd consecutive top 20 Album and 3rd #1 on the Billboard World Albums chart. On July 4, 2022, Enhypen released their 3rd EP 'Manifesto: Day 1'. It became their 2nd million-selling album and made them the fastest K-pop group to achieve two Million sellers! On January 21 and 22, 2023, Enhypen held their first two-day sold out dome concert at Kyocera Dome as part of their Manifesto World Tour, making them the fastest and first 4th-generation K-pop act to hold a concert at the venue. They also became the first K-pop group to sell out 3 consecutive shows at the Mall of Asia Arena in the Philippines, and on their first world tour at that! In May 2023, Enhypen released their 4th EP 'Dark Blood' selling over 1.1 million copies on its first day alone, becoming the group's 5th top-10 entry on the Billboard Top Album Sales chart and their first ever top-five Billboard 200 album! Enhypen released their 5th EP, 'Orange Blood', on November 17 2023! It sold over 1.38 million copies on Hanteo in its first day! 'Orange Blood' was the 19th best-selling album worldwide with over 1.7M units.

Enhypen released their 2nd studio album 'ROMANCE: UNTOLD' on July 12, 2024 with pre-orders of over 2.2 million! It sold over 1.8 million copies worldwide on its first day of release, debuting atop the Korean Circle Album Chart with over 2M copies sold and was certified 2X Platinum in Korea for over 2.5M units! It reached #1 on Japan's Oricon Album Chart and debuted at #2 on the US Billboard 200 with 117,000 pure album sales, their highest-charting album in the country. It was the best-selling k-pop album in 2024 and the 2nd best-selling album worldwide after Taylor Swift's 'The Tortured Poets Dept.' as per IFPI with sales of 3.4 Million sales units!

On April 10, 2025, Enhypen made their U.S.A. TV debut with a performance of "Loose" on "Jimmy Kimmel Live!", before blowing the world away at Coachella on April 12 and 19, where they announced their 6th mini-album, 'Desire: Unleash' which was released on June 5, 2025, and topped the Circle chart in Korea with 2,19M units, the Oricon chart in Japan with 305K units and landed at #3 on the Billboard 200 with 95K units, the best-selling album that week in the US! It became Enhypen's 3rd double-million seller! The Group's 7th mini album 'THE SIN : VANISH' (2026) topped the United World chart for 2 whole weeks and included individual member editions (e.g., THE SIN : VANISH (SUNOO Ver.)), each featuring remixed or member-focused versions of tracks, prominently including "Knife (SUNOO Ver.)" (a digi-pop remix with upbeat yet tense vibes.

Sunoo has contributed significantly to ENHYPEN's award-winning success since their 2020 debut. His incredible voice and dance skills have been instrumental in securing 49 Awards out of 128 nominations including 8 MAMA Awards and the Daesang Award in 2025 for Fans' Choice of the Year, 8 Golden Disc Awards, 6 Fact Music Awards, 5 D Awards, 4 Seoul Music Awards, 3 Hanteo Awards, 3 Circle Chart Music awards, 3 Asia Star Entertainer Awards, 2 MelOn Music Awards, 2 Japan Gold Disc Awards and 2 Asia Artist Awards among others! ENHYPEN won Artist of the Year (Bonsang) twice at the Fact Music Awards, Album of the Year (Daesang) and Best Group and Best Tour at the D Awards, Grand Prize at the Asia Star Entertainer Awards (ASEA), Best Album, Fan's Choice, and Global K-pop Artist at the 39th Golden Disc Awards, and Artist of the Year (Bonsang) for 3 Years in a row at the Hanteo Music Awards! When the Group first began, they won all the Rookie of the Year Awards across major ceremonies ie. Melon Music Awards, MAMA & Golden Disc Awards and the Worldwide Fans' Choice Top 10 at MAMA.

Sunoo has been endorsed by various brands along with the other members of Enhypen. In May 2023, Enhypen was chosen by the Seoul Design Foundation and Seoul Metropolitan Government as the DDP PR ambassadors and opened Seoul Fashion Week as the Airbnb host. In June, 2023, Enhypen was announced as new brand ambassadors of the Italian luxury fashion house Prada and in July, Enhypen became global ambassadors of the Filipino clothing and lifestyle brand Bench. In August, the group teamed up with Indonesian food and beverage brand Nabati to promote their Goguma-flavored snacks. In September, Enhypen's Dark Moon: The Blood Altar collaborated with Lotte WorldMagic Island on a festival running from September 1 to October 22. The same month, Enhypen was named ambassador for 2023 Seoul Fashion Week, where they made their first appearance at the Prada Mode event. On October 30, Enhypen became the first-ever global ambassador of Korean skincare brand Dr. Jart+ in the "Supercharged repair, Cicapair" campaign. In January 2024, Enhypen was chosen as the new model image of the Japanese mail-order retailer Peach John for their new spring unisex room wear as part of their 30th anniversary special project. In March 2024, they were announced as brand ambassadors for Dunkin' Philippines. On April 30, the group members were models for Tiffany & Co in their digital pictorial for W Korea's May issue. They also featured on the September 2023 cover of Cosmopolitan Korea in collaboration with Tiffany & Co. and have been attending the brand's events since then. On February 19, 2025, Enhypen was announced as the new global ambassador of the skincare brand Mixsoon, in the campaign "Beauty Essentials for Glass Skin"! Sunoo landed his first-ever solo global brand deal with Korean fast-fashion label 8 Seconds in July 2025. He became their Global Ambassador, fronting the “Summer Record” campaign and appearing at their flagship store opening in the Philippines. Sunoo continues shining with the group’s ongoing partnerships like Prada, where he oozed style and caused a sensation at the recent Prada menswear show!

Sunoo’s warm heart shines through his generous charity work. In October 2024, he participated with Enhypen in a charity event for the fashion magazine W Korea's breast cancer awareness campaign "Love Your W"! In December 2024, he quietly donated over 150 million KRW to Samsung Medical Center to support pediatric and adolescent patients, without notifying his agency, under the Patient Happiness Fund. It was later revealed in March 2025. He received the prestigious Minister of Foreign Affairs Award as the 2025 Sharing Icon of the Year for his meaningful acts of kindness.
