Currently building relationships with my 3/4 prac students. Something I know is critical during our single days! Excited to get to know their worlds and see what I can offer them to extend their interests🙂 #acuedu_p
After completing a PL on eSafety last week, I have continued to explore the resources available to support me and my students. This here is a great one!
Thank you to Zoe Walton and Teresa Draybi for presenting an informative and inspirational Beginning Teacher lecture in the Transition into the Profession units in Sydney. Your insights and advice are invaluable! #acuedu_p
Feeling grateful for the information given to pre-service teachers by ACU before entering the teaching profession! The end is in sight and it is super exciting!😊 #acuedu_p
Loved hearing from experienced teachers in our lecture last week. I think the advice for working with difficult behaviour was most beneficial to me with the heads up that a system may only work for a few weeks before you need to adapt it to changing student needs! #acuedu_p
Following on from the behaviour management strategies learnt in EDFD452 lecture and tutorial, this is just another example you could add to your ‘Teaching Idea Folder’ to use as as part of your classroom. #acuedu_p
Implementing calm and positive behaviour management strategies is key to creating a motivated, productive and positive classroom environment. Can't wait to try more of these strategies in my upcoming practicum! #acuedu_p
I would love to know more about the GTPA in EDFD452 so I can be super prepared heading into my final placement and before my EDFX444 intensive! #acuedu_p
A significant thing I have learnt in EDFD452 so far is that the role of assessment doesn't stop at the students, but extends to ourselves as teachers through constant self assessment and professional assessment against the standards #acuedu_p
I have really enjoyed the opportunity to reflect on my areas for development in writing my Professional Learning Plan. I feel like I have learnt so much over my degree and there is still so much to learn which is exciting! #acuedu_p
“From 60-second micro lessons to brain breaks, teachers are finding creative ways to meet students where they are. Increasingly, that’s on TikTok.” via @edutopia https://t.co/2XzAefuwoy
Another super insightful podcast on the debate between the most effective way to teach reading. I’m looking forward to starting my Kindergarten placement and discussing this with my supervising teacher. #acuedu_p https://t.co/iYHIkFbqZF
I have recently stated listening to the Sue Larkey podcast and been loving it! She provides great tips and practical solutions for working with students with ASD and I can’t reccommend it enough! #acuedu_p
