A BSF officer, when confronted by Kuki civilians as to why they have been suddenly posted beyond the buffer zone into Kuki areas, gives a reply following the Meitei’s narrative of `this is my state and everyone else is illegal.’

Security forces should be better educated on citizenship. This is our country, as much as it is yours. We have the democratic right to question but you do not have the right to make an exclusive statement of this country being yours, insinuating the misinformed `illegal immigrant’ allegation that the Meiteis have been shouting.

In a conflict torn state where tensions are high, such a statement by Indian Security forces shouldn’t be overwatched as it can further exacerbate the conflict. Has the @MHA taken its decision to sideline a particular community and ordered @BSFindia to mistreat the Kuki Civilians in this manner?

Is this so-called commanding officer Vikram Singh from @BSF_India openly insinuating that Kukis are not Indians? This level of ignorance and incompetence is appalling but unsurprising, given the @HMOIndia’s tendency to deploy officers who act as puppets for Meitei propaganda rather than upholding their duties with integrity and professionalism.

By saying “This is my country,” Vikram Singh blatantly disrespects the very people he is supposed to protect. Would this officer dare use the same words if the protesters were Bengali women or Meitei women? Clearly, he has been chosen for his pliability, not for his intellect or ability to handle complex situations.

The presence of such officers in critical situations is not only a disgrace to the BSF but also a dangerous precedent. Biased officers like Vikram Singh have no place in a diverse, democratic nation.

The Enforcement Directorate’s chargesheet reveals the dark underbelly of Meitei politics in Manipur. BJP MLAs, including Mayanglambam Rameshwar Singh (₹8 lakh), Yumnam Khemchand Singh (₹3 lakh), and state general secretary G.S. Premananda Meetei (₹2 lakh), along with Congress MLA Keisham Meghachandra Singh (₹50,000), actively funded the UNLF insurgent group under the guise of “donations.” These funds were used to arm militants and fuel ethnic unrest.

It is shocking that such politicians, including Speaker Thokchom Satyabrata Singh (₹2 lakh) and MLA Kongkham Robindro Singh (₹2 lakh), continue to hold office while evidence exposes their complicity. The ED’s findings highlight how these donations funded arms, drones, and militant training camps in Myanmar to perpetuate violence.

We ,the Kuki demand immediate arrests and accountability for these Meitei MLAs who betrayed public trust by financing insurgency. Their actions have deepened ethnic divisions in Manipur, and they must face the full force of the law.

Professor Prasenjit Biswas, in a live TV debate on @News9Tweets questioned the clear bias of central forces against the Kuki community. Kuki bunkers, which serve to resist Meitei attacks, are being destroyed, while nothing happens on the Meitei side, leaving them open for one sided attacks.

He asked why the army is neutralizing only Kuki defenses, even to the extent of harassing more than 40 Kuki women. “Where is the standard operating procedure when women resist and are brutally beaten?” he questioned, highlighting this as a gross violation of human rights that must be condemned.
