Nearly 35,000 signatures on a petition in this article saying IUD insertion needs pain control. In a survey included in that petition 43% of ppl said their pain was >7 w/some saying it was worse than childbirth or broken bones. Things I've seen in my threads too

not a design tweet but in case u didn’t know: women don’t get pain mgmt for iud insertion/removal & other gyno procedures — we’re told to take ibuprofen for “mild pain.” this is a procedure on an *internal organ* and it was so
horrifically painful. believe in women’s pain pls
