@katwhatever_ like I understand being annoyed but also understand that different places have different expectations. I do think water should be free but I also don't think it's purely a joker out issue, it's an issue for many events

@claireohyuta @katrinaissorry I think it is, because while they do here in australia I have found its not as common in a lot of european events I've been to. I do think it should be standard everywhere but that's not really just a joker out problem

@katrinaissorry like I know it's legally required in some countries to provide free water at outdoor events, but doesn't mean it is everywhere. I would prefer they had free water but sometimes events just don't, & I do think free water should be normalised but this isn't just a joker out issue

@perpetuallonerr which means it's not only club sport which can be expensive & not something many in my town could afford. so options to compete through school is open to more people. (also my swimming club deliberately didn't upcharge fees, so we could have people compete)

@perpetuallonerr most of us play at least one sport as a child; I did swimming outside school as well as netball, softball & water polo in school. but even from school sport there is a lot of opportunity for district, state & national level (I've been district for swimming)

@grandepjm GA lines will be a mess but otherwise they are easy, and the entrances are always super easy to find. even speaking italian I've had difficulty finding some entrances in italy (is very venue dependent, and could do with mistranslation by me as well)

@txtrdmirrorball it's the easiest thing to do when you are riding a dirt bike worth like $500 & the hardest thing to do when riding an expensive bike that you had to work hard for, even my dad doesn't want to let go of his actual bike but doesn't care when it's a cheap one
