A watercolour painting of a pitcher plant (Nepenthes chaniana) I've just completed. I always include the dead and dying leaves because, as every natural history illustrator knows, nothing brings life to the page like death. A lot of love went into this one - hope you like it x

some people were asking about the process for these and it’s actually pretty simple!
1. make the object out of playdoh and take a photo
2. cut out in photoshop
3. add a threshold
4. recolor manually (then add textures/final touches and adjustments!) :)
