@megpillow It’s so hard! I was looking for resources to help with this recently but all the articles offered advice like “take a walk or write in your journal” as if that was even real.
Working on character building with my young writers, I asked them what their character would do if they witnessed a bad bike crash. SO many people’s characters just walked by or ignored it. Made me sad for the world, the lack of imagined empathy and the normalized indifference.
