The ants are slowing. The fruit's been broken down, the paths are blazed. Work continues but it's slower. They seem to need a crisis.

Not sure why I assumed the ants by the air vent would want out. They were not making any obvious effort to leave. Maybe I was projecting

Some of the ants are loitering near the air vent. Who are these guys? Are they the go-getters, who want out, or the loafers, who don't work?

An eery calm. Little movement. The piece of pear is gone. At least we cannot see it. There is much we humans cannot see
