@mkieling_21 That’s also why 9.9 mill ppl watched this year. Their were two teams that aren’t your power houses and it wasn’t an underdog vs the dynasty. It was a new championship match up ppl were interested in because it wasn’t predictable! (And the guys tourney as a whole was a bust).

THIS WAS THE GAME to change the way ppl view women’s basketball. But noooooo, the NCAA had to go “make a statement” and only staff females refs and completely BLOW IT for women’s sports!

@mkieling_21 The only people who like a dynasty are the fans of THAT dynasty. NCAA Women’s basketball goes from one dynasty to the next, rarely a break. For a sports fan, it’s irritating and predictable. Guys & girls sports, that’s bad for viewer retention. That’s why ppl like an underdog.

@mkieling_21 You get 9.9 million ppl to watch… it’s “the game.” And tbh, the only reason 9.9 million ppl viewed was CUZ neither team was a complete powerhouse. Ppl needed to see that women’s basketball isn’t just about the same 4 teams. EVERY big D1 team can compete like a powerhouse team.
