the Japanese word for the habit of buying books and letting them pile up unread is “Tsundoku”. It’s not really about being a hoarder; it’s more about the joy and anticipation of owning books you genuinely intend to read someday, even if they end up sitting on your shelf for a while. I definitely relate because I have so many books I own but have never actually read 😂
