In my opinion no self respecting Black man should be willing to vote for Donald Trump after hearing and seeing this.
No evangelical ought vote for Trump after seeing and hearing this.
For me to vote for Trump would be a slap in the face of every accomplished, successful Black woman who’s had a positive impact on my upbringing.
Shame on Donald Trump. Shame on anyone who’d vote for him.
Black men we cannot allow Trump to get by with this. We certainly can’t reward him for it. He feels the same way about the positive, productive, impactful Black women in your circle of
of relationships. To let him by with this is giving a license and permission for other White men to do the same.
And the same standard I’m asking you to hold Trump to, I’m also asking that we hold each other to the same standard. If one chooses not to vote for Kamala Harris, that’s their right & privilege. I respect that.
But no one should be able to call her the ‘b word, without paying a price. Where is your manhood, pride, and Christian accountability commitment? He ought be made to apologize for this, at the very least.
Mark Ruffalo, an outspoken advocate for the Palestinian cause, was one of many Oscar attendees who wore the Artists4Ceasefire pin. But he also has worked behind the scenes on the efforts to free the hostages who remain captives of Hamas. Sources say Ruffalo has met with family members of the hostages as well as people who survived the Hamas attack. https://t.co/o8chK5S8e8
Da'Vine Joy Randolph: "I will always pay tribute to, honor, uplift and be a part of Black storytelling, but I need to infiltrate and get in the spaces where we’re not. I want to be in a Wes Anderson movie just ’cause. I want to be in a David O. Russell movie just ’cause. Coen brothers. I’ve never seen us there. Because that’s when I think we can really bring about educating and creating real change. If we just stay over by ourselves, nothing is going to change." https://t.co/bd5tLkJlCy
I really liked what Miley Cyrus said about how success should excite you but not define you while she picked up her Grammy. Almost as much as I loved her saying that the Record of The Year Grammy win was nice but her life was already amazing yesterday.
I’ve come to a point where I’m seeing more celebrities commenting and releasing statements about Margot and Greta’s Oscar snub than they are about the genocide happening in Palestine. Hollywood really is a rancid spineless shit hole
saltburn - best cinematography
don’t like this movie really but it was one of the most gorgeous things i’ve seen in years….the cinematographer was doing some heavy lifting i fear. i hate the phrase “every frame is a painting” but that shit was lowkey true!
teyana taylor - a thousand and one (best actress)
i don’t know how she was almost completely shut out of awards season in general…but she was such a powerhouse in this movie. she just felt so real, which is commendable af because i knew her from her music. she was brilliant!!
