Our hearts are heavy after learning of the loss of NASCAR legend Greg Biffle. We were honored to welcome him to our ballpark earlier this year, and grateful for the moments shared. Sending our deepest condolences to his family, friends and fans.
“Greg Biffle’s impact on racing is one that will be remembered by fans and competitors alike for generations,” said Jerry Caldwell, president of Bristol Motor Speedway. “At Bristol, Greg always brought passion and competitiveness to our track, delivering memorable performances that showcased his determination and skill every time he raced here.
“Beyond the racetrack, Greg and his family were exceptional people who became true members of the Bristol community. Just last year, Greg selflessly flew numerous humanitarian missions to assist families across this region affected by Hurricane Helene, demonstrating the same dedication and courage that defined his racing career.
“This past summer, we were also honored to have Greg and his wife represent Bristol Motor Speedway at the Cincinnati Reds’ Racing Night in support of the MLB Speedway Classic — a wonderful event he later attended here with his wife and son. His enthusiasm for community and family reflected the very best of what our sport stands for.
“On behalf of everyone at Bristol Motor Speedway, we honor Greg’s accomplishments, his contributions to racing, and the warmth he shared with fans both here in Bristol and across America.”🙏❤️

In addition to the record lead change number yesterday, two Bristol loop data records were set -- 61 green flag passes for the lead and 3,589 overall passes (these are passes at each loop). Previous highs were 47 and 2,427.
There is really only one track that the drivers do this sort of thing. It speaks to the uniqueness and legendary status that Bristol holds in all our hearts. Weather you love some past version or really dig it’s current state, walking up and laying eyes on it never gets old.
