Many people who, like me, are in the latter part of our careers understand that our role is increasingly about planting trees. This means developing the people who'll be our successors & helping them to shine. It also involves getting more radical about change. Art: @ImpactWales
Minimum Viable Transformation — Daniel Stillman. Great read. Aiming for non-violence, using invitation and 25% of team to generate change momentum! #changeagent#transformation#nhs https://t.co/OFndxbUdLb
@KateBurkeNHS There are good resources out there like NHS leadership academy, NHS England, degrees in leadership and management in health. But I think there is then a massive barrier to the actual transition. I really like the idea of the (A2B), shadowing so will take this to back to my Trust!
Holiday reading. Yet another source advocating tiny continuous changes to systems rather than focusing on outcomes and goals. #QItwitter#S4CA#improvingtogether#NHS so now need to apply to all aspects of my life, not just work!! #lifelonglearning
Data is critical to improvement but without a meaningful context that people can connect with, it's hard to use data to motivate change. When we explain data with a compelling story that links to people's values & sense of shared purpose, magic happens #QITwitter Art: @gapingvoid
Really enjoyed the sessions I managed to join today, lots of reflection time now on building skills for collaborative change #ImprovingTogether
Looking forward to my ‘digital goody bag’ for the sessions I missed!

Compassionate leadership enables those we lead to feel valued, respected and cared for, so they can reach their potential and do their best work. Find out more: https://t.co/hi9dJ9zTwd
Motivating change via "carrots & sticks" is usually a bad idea. It's treating people like buttons & levers to push/pull to get results we want. Much better to identify people who want what we want & build their support & power to succeed: https://t.co/LvjMjufYSb By @digitaltonto
Couldn’t agree more. The culture of an organisation is the invisible force that can determine whether it will adapt and succeed in a changing world…..or fail.
The organisations with the best experiences/outcomes of change are typically those with a culture of learning: where everyone can try new things, maybe fail & feel supported & respected. It needs psychological safety: https://t.co/3VhH4WbDe9 By @AdamMGrant#100RepeatTweets no.46
So important to have well-being conversations within teams. Thinking about trialling scales and really thinking about language! Keeping this at the forefront at HRCH! @HRCH_NHS @hrchahps#wellbeingatwork
