Dan is an Australian citizen who broke no Australian law. And yet his liberties have been stripped away, as well as his dignity and humanity.
He has sat in an Australian prison for 3.5 years, at the behest of a foreign government, paid for by the Australian taxpayer, whilst his family struggles to pay legal fees and survive during a cost of living crisis.
Where has Australia's sovereignty gone? It’s time for Dan to come home. Please donate to help this family: https://t.co/93c15Gd7FL

The fact we are going to have our first trillionaire before everyone has access to clean drinking water is proof our current system is not for the greater good but for the greedy.
0c kWh in Melbourne right now, and super cheap all day.
The car is charging, the dishwasher is on, and the beef short ribs are about to go in the oven for 4-5 hours.
Thankful for having renewables pushing down prices.
Oil will never do this.
Goulburn Community #Solar farm is now operational, 288 Local investors now making returns from the farm. 1.4 Mw farm along side a 4Mwh Battery.
Proving ownership of renewable infrastructure doesn't have to be built by multinationals.

@aaronsmith For once, we made the right decision before shit went crazy. Picked up our EV back in December and now, more than ever, I see it as the best decision we’ve made in a long long time
We are all desperate for independent policy thinking!
Govt capture by conflicted-interest lobby groups (turnstiles with ex pollies & staffers), the #boyzklub#jobs4mates, and the massive oligopoly consultancy firms (no accountability to the people) is killing our democracy.
Great day!
And a significant day in the story of community independents movement - the march and the informal get together after at the QT Hotel where many of us gathered 🙌🙌 #march4justice#auspol
@RonniSalt@JennyForster7 This is what always astounded me. You didn’t need a law degree to realise income averaging was wrong and if it wasn’t against the law - it should have been. And if you were in a position of authority you should have fully investigated it. Not that hard
Jess Wilson may have a problem today because of:
A Liberal MP
A trip to the United States
Photos with Gina Rinehart’s media man
Photos quietly vanishing
And in half an hour, a One Nation event linked to the Liberal MP’s family
Let’s unpack this

I'd really like anyone in the media to acknowledge that a lot of the information and so-called research coming out now about Angus Taylor's various deeds and interests were all researched and published long ago by the one and only @jommy_tee
Especially that SMH romance novelist
What Have the Independents Ever Done for Us?
You know the scene. Reg demands to know what the Romans ever did for us. The aqueduct. The roads. The sanitation. Peace.
"Oh, shut up!"
We get asked the same thing about community independents all the time. So I assembled the record and compared all six political groupings side by side.
Spoiler: one group has been doing a lot of work for Australians - quietly delivering hospitals, debt relief, mobile towers, battery programs, and integrity commissions with no party machine, no fossil fuel donors, and no anonymous backers.
Then there is One Nation. Zero legislation of national benefit. Zero. Zip. Nothing. Just division and mining billionaire money.
The people of Farrer vote 9 May. The proof of what independent representation delivers is right next door in Indi.
The mainstream press won't show you this because they're still caught up in the 2-party system. So I did. 👇

Ever heard of the Commons? Not many people have. But you're living the consequences of losing them.
Your housing costs. Your stagnant wages. Your gutted local services. Your democracy that seems to answer to donors before citizens.
None of that is an accident. It's called enclosure - and it's been happening for decades.
And before you say this is a left versus right thing - it's not. This is a human decency thing. A democracy thing. A what-kind-of-society-do-we-actually-want-for-all thing.
This week @KosSamaras published a forensic account of how progressive politics lost the working class and the research industry built to serve it is now answering questions nobody is asking anymore. @timdunlop took it further: it wasn't voters who drifted. The union halls, community legal centres, and local branches that gave ordinary people real power were deliberately dismantled.
So what does a Doughnut have to do with any of this?
Economist Kate Raworth's @DoughnutEcon maps exactly what every human being needs to live with dignity - housing, health, wages, democratic voice. Every single item on that map is a commons that has been enclosed. And a Nobel Prize-winning economist named Elinor Ostrom proved communities can govern them back. Think Voices of... groups.
Today is Labour Day in Victoria. In 1856 Melbourne stonemasons changed the world by organising together. This is the blueprint for doing it again.
I wrote this piece 👇Here's how we take the commons back. 🔗

@CaseyBriggs@Q2Quokka Haven’t you heard: No such thing as a safe seat. Plenty of seats with much bigger margins have been lost in the last couple of elections
