A friend of ours who had created a lovely advertising campaign for the Tata group talks about Ratan Tata being moved by it but saying he cannot release it because "if you are a true healer, you do not go around telling the people you are a healer. You just heal..." It reminded me of what my mother told me when I was a child "If you are good, the world will say so, you don't have to say it yourself". Curious to know whether, in today's showbiz driven world, whether these thoughts sit well.
In 2011, my father initiated a family split when RPG's turnover was ₹15,000cr, dividing the business equally. Today, our combined turnover stands at ₹82,000cr—equal once again, with a 17% CAGR. Proud to see both groups' growth recognized by the market and RP-SG group doing great. My brother is a fine businessman with a smart son. My son is smart too, but his father’s capabilities are unfortunately suspect!
The Kerala High Court announces 24*7 ON Courts—open and networked courts that are accessible 24/7 for asynchronous actions and that reach out to citizens instead of citizens pursuing the court. This is a promising start to judicial process transformation! @matthan writes: https://t.co/fR69s1QV6E

I love Calcutta. I spent some of the best years of my life there as a poet before I moved to Bombay 40 years ago. I still defend everything about Calcutta (and Bengal) wherever and whenever I can. But it’s no longer possible to stay quiet. What has happened at the RG Kar hospital (as a father of two daughters I shudder to even describe it) shames us all. What shames me even more is the callousness with which the issue (and its brutal aftermath where mobs went on a rampage destroying the hospital and all evidence that could have nailed the guilty) has been treated by those in authority. I am sad. I am ashamed. A culture which has always respected women has finally lost it. No, this is not the Calcutta I have known and loved.
Is it just me or is Bombay losing its charm! The roads are packed, commuting anywhere is nightmarish, pedestrians are struggling to walk on the streets, and the city seems fatigued! Not sure if this is the quality of life anyone is looking for.
For those on my TL, who believe that life begins at 60, or have someone in their family who does, here's a gateway to a whole new world! Exciting and energizing...read bits about it here. https://t.co/J6jEcnWee0
