A great weekend for the new Bede's Table Tennis Academy! 🏓

We are thrilled to celebrate a phenomenal debut at the Sussex County Championship 2026. Our players dominated the tournament, bringing home the titles for the Under 11, Under 13 and Under 16 events!

Reception and Year 1 had a fantastic morning of tennis at the Senior School!

We were thrilled to welcome schools from all over Sussex to join our tennis players for the LTA Festival. Running twice a year, these days are all about introducing our youngest learners to tennis.

Reception had a great trip to Pizza Express yesterday!

The children became mini chefs for the day, discovering where their food comes from before crafting their own pizzas. We were so proud to see them being flavour explorers and trying out new ingredients!

Our U11 Boys won and claimed the title of County Champions! Our U11 Girls finished as Runners Up! Well done to all our players!

What an incredible STEM Fair! 🎉

We welcomed 5 local schools for hands-on fun, from biomimicry to cyber security. A highlight was “Circus Science,” exploring gravity and parabolas through juggling!

Year 6’s Scarlett became ‘Head of School’ for a day!

She toured the Zoo, met the Foundation Director, and enjoyed lunch with the Headmaster. From the Sixth Form Centre to a front-row seat at Assembly, she led with total confidence.

Congratulations to Year 3 pupil Luca who recently entered every single race on the programme at the Hailsham Club Championships!

At just 8 years old, Luca is currently ranked 5th in the country with Swim England for the 200m Backstroke!

Last Friday, Mrs Morris handed the reins to Year 4’s Sophia! She led staff briefings, joined SLT meetings, observed lessons, and even hosted a tea party for Reception.

Congratulations to Year 6 pupil Raphael for his incredible performance at the England National Championships at the Kettering Arena on Sunday!

Competing in the Under 12 Doubles, 10-year-old Raphael showed maturity and skill far beyond his years to secure a Bronze Medal! 🥉

Eco-Week highlights!

Year 4 made mini-gardens in recycled jars for our bees and butterflies. Plus, our whole school went screen-free!

By unplugging 13 classes, we saved 45.5kg of CO2 - like driving 115 miles or charging 5,500+ phones. Great work, everyone!

Year 3 brought history to life as they recently celebrated Roman Day!

The day featured many Roman themed activities and even a Roman feast!

It is Eco-Week and our pupils have been getting stuck into the great outdoors! Yesterday, Years 3, 4 and 5 visited Lewes Wildlife Reserve for a sunny day of adventures!
