Baby Chloe is now able to enjoy the outdoors and get to her doctors appointments thanks to donations made to our Transition Aged Youth program. Funds are used to house and support Transition Aged parents while they engaged in employment services and school programs.

Sharnell shares her BEDS Prevention Department success story. Sharnell is an esthetician with existing health conditions that made her unable to work once the COVID pandemic began. BEDS was able to apply for back-rent, allowing her to stay in her apartment and get back on track.
NYT reporter Michael Kimmelman spoke with experts about homelessness in Houston. In the past decade, Houston has reduced its homeless count by 63%. Kimmelman said Houston is confronting many of the same affordable-housing problems facing other big cities.
