حققت محطة الشارقة لتحويل النفايات إلى طاقة إنجازاً مهماً عبر تحويل إجمالي مليون طن من النفايات إلى كهرباء منخفضة الكربون، وذلك انطلاقاً من دورها في تعزيز أمن الطاقة عبر الحلول المستدامة. إلى ذلك، تواصل المحطة تحقيق تقدم ملموس في تحويل كميات كبيرة من النفايات بعيداً عن المكبات، مع إعادة تعريف مصادر الطاقة النظيفة من خلال ابتكارات عالمية المستوى، كونها أول محطة على المستوى التجاري بالمنطقة.
ومع خطط التوسعة الجارية، من المتوقع أن تضاعف المحطة أثرها الإيجابي، وأن توفّر الطاقة لما يصل إلى 60,000 منزل عبر الشبكة العامة، وذلك عبر التعاون الاستراتيجي مع هيئة كهرباء ومياه وغاز الشارقة. ومن خلال معالجة المزيد من النفايات المتبقية التي يصعب إعادة تدويرها، ستسهم المحطة في المراحل المقبلة في تفادي ما يصل إلى مليون طن من انبعاثات ثاني أكسيد الكربون. يُذكر أن المحطة تأسست في 2022، وكانت باكورة أعمال شركة الإمارات لتحويل النفايات إلى طاقة، المشروع المشترك بين "بيئة" ومجموعة "تدوير"، حيث تمثل نموذجاً مثبتاً لمشاريع مستدامة منخفضة الكربون على مستوى الدولة.

Driving energy security with sustainable solutions, the Sharjah Waste to Energy plant has achieved a significant milestone by converting a total of 1,000,000 tons of waste into low-carbon electricity. As the first facility of its kind in the region, the plant continues to make strides in diverting large volumes of waste from landfill while redefining clean energy sources through world-class innovation.
With expansion plans underway, the plant is set to double its positive impact and power up to 60,000 homes on the public grid, in strategic collaboration with the Sharjah Electricity, Water, and Gas Authority (SEWA). By transforming more residual, hard-to-recycle waste, the facility will eventually displace up to 1 million tons of CO2 emissions in future phases. Established in 2022 as a flagship project under the Emirates Waste to Energy Company, our joint venture with Tadweer Group, the Sharjah Waste to Energy plant is a proven model for sustainable, low-carbon projects nationwide.

تعزيزاً لمنظومة التميز القيادي في الشارقة، تشرفنا بالاحتفاء بتخريج الدفعة الثانية من برنامج “قادة المستقبل”؛ المبادرة الرائدة من “بيئة” والمخصصة لتطوير مهارات الكوادر التنفيذية وتمكينهم من قيادة دفة التطوير في قطاعاتهم. شهد الحفل، الذي أقيم في مقر “بيئة” الرئيسي، حضوراً لافتاً من كبار قادة الأعمال والمهنيين من مختلف القطاعات لتكريم 20 خريجاً وخريجة، بعد رحلة تعليمية مكثفة استمرت على مدار 10 أشهر.

وللمرة الأولى منذ انطلاق البرنامج، لم تقتصر هذه الدفعة على موظفي “بيئة” فحسب، بل ضمت كفاءات تنموية وتنفيذية من مؤسسات رائدة في الشارقة، وهي: مؤسسة القلب الكبير، ومؤسسة خالد بن سلطان القاسمي الإنسانية، والمكتب الإعلامي لحكومة الشارقة. وقد أتم المشاركون 10 مساقات تدريبية صُممت خصيصاً لتواكب المتغيرات المتسارعة في عالم الأعمال، إلى جانب اكتساب خبرات عملية من خلال الزيارات الميدانية ومشاريع التخرج المبتكرة. كما تضمن المنهج الدراسي لهذا العام فرصة الحصول على مساقات تعليمية من أرقى الجامعات والمعاهد العالمية مثل: كلية (MIT) للإدارة التنفيذية، وكلية كولومبيا لإدارة الأعمال، وكلية تاك للتعليم التنفيذي.

Strengthening Sharjah’s leadership ecosystem, we were honored to celebrate the graduation of the second cohort of the Future Leadership Program, a flagship initiative by BEEAH dedicated to developing future-ready executives for high-impact roles. Held at our Headquarters, the ceremony brought together business leaders and emerging professionals from across sectors to recognize 20 graduates following a 10-month blended learning journey.

For the first time since the program’s inception, the graduating cohort included executives not only from BEEAH but leading Sharjah entities such as The Big Heart Foundation, Khalid bin Sultan Al Qasimi Humanitarian Foundation, and the Sharjah Government Media Bureau. Participants completed 10 expert-led modules tailored to today’s evolving business landscape, while gaining practical insights through industry visits and a challenging capstone project. This year’s curriculum also included access to courses from prestigious institutions such as MIT Management Executive Education, Columbia Business School, and Tuck Executive Education.

وسلطت الحلول الفائزة الضوء على أبرز التحديات العالمية في مجال الاستدامة، بدءاً من الحد من النفايات وصولاً إلى تعزيز كفاءة الطاقة. وخلال الحفل، ألقى سعادة الشيخ فاهم بن سلطان القاسمي، رئيس دائرة العلاقات الحكومية في الشارقة، كلمة ملهمة وجّهها للرواد، استعرض فيها خبراته العملية ورؤاه المستمدة من مسيرته في حماية البيئة البحرية.

Under the patronage and in the presence of Her Highness Sheikha Bodour bint Sultan Al Qasimi, President of the American University of Sharjah, the Future Pioneers Award by BEEAH honored winners from its 2025-2026 cycle at our Headquarters. Together with our Group CEO and Vice Chairman Khaled Al Huraimel, Her Highness presented awards to 12 outstanding winners, selected from 973 submissions worldwide, including the UAE, Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, France, India, and Oman.

This edition’s winning solutions helped shed light on the world’s most pressing sustainability challenges, from waste reduction to energy efficiency. ضمن فعاليات معرض الصحة العالمي دبي 2026، فاز خالد الحريمل، الرئيس التنفيذي ونائب رئيس مجلس الإدارة، بلقب "بطل الرعاية الصحية" خلال حفل جوائز نظمته "كالمان العالمية" بالتعاون مع المستشفى الأمريكي دبي وذلك بساحة الوصل في مدينة إكسبو دبي. إلى ذلك، استقطب الحدث نخبة من قيادات قطاع الرعاية الصحية في دولة الإمارات، إلى جانب طلبة المدارس وعدد من أبرز الشخصيات الأمريكية، حيث جرى تكريم الشخصيات التي تسهم في صياغة مستقبل الرعاية الصحية بالمنطقة وتلهم الأجيال الصاعدة لاختيار مسارات مهنية في هذا القطاع الحيوي.

On the sidelines of World Health Expo Dubai 2026, our Group CEO and Vice Chairman, Khaled Al Huraimel, was honored as a ‘Healthcare Hero’ during an award ceremony hosted by Kallman Worldwide and American Hospital Dubai at Al Wasl Plaza, Expo City Dubai. Convening UAE healthcare leaders, school students, and US dignitaries, ‘The Celebration of Healthcare Heroes’ event recognized those shaping the future of healthcare in the region while inspiring youth to pursue careers in the field.

Our Group CEO and Vice Chairman was nominated by Dana-Farber Cancer Institute and Mass Brigham General, leading medical Boston-based institutions and our partners in the development of the Jawaher Boston Medical District. تحت رعاية وزارة الصحة ووقاية المجتمع، اُفتتح في دبي معرض الصحة العالمي والذي يُقام لمدة أربعة أيام، ولغاية 12 فبراير 2026، في مركز دبي للمعارض بمدينة إكسبو دبي، وذلك بمشاركة نخبة من كبار المتخصصين في القطاع الصحي من مختلف أنحاء العالم.

وتشارك “بيئة” بالفعالية تحت مظلة هيئة الشارقة الصحية، حيث تسلط الضوء على مشروعها الصحي الرائد - حي جواهر بوسطن الطبي، والذي يُعد مستشفى المستقبل، والذي يتم تطويره في إمارة الشارقة بالشراكة مع معهد دانا - فاربر لعلاج السرطان ومستشفى ماس جنرال بريغهام.

ويستند المشروع إلى نموذج رعاية صحية محوره المريض حيث تتكامل التخصصات الطبية، وبالتالي تكتمل منظومة حلولنا الصحية القائمة، بما في ذلك وقاية لإدارة النفايات الطبية المستدامة، ومنصة “تراك فارما” من إيفوتيك لتتبّع الأدوية وتعزيز سلامة سلاسل الإمداد الدوائي.

Held under the patronage of the UAE Ministry of Health and Prevention, the World Health Expo (WHX) Dubai has opened its four-day program, running through February 12, 2026, at the Dubai Exhibition Centre in Expo City, convening top medical professionals from around the world.

Through Sharjah Health Authority’s participation at WHX Dubai, BEEAH is honored to present our healthcare flagship, the Jawaher Boston Medical District, a hospital of the future being developed in Sharjah, in partnership with Dana-Farber Cancer Institute and Mass General Brigham. Powered by patient-centric care and integrated medical specialties, the hospital complements our network of existing healthcare solutions such as Wekaya, a provider of sustainable medical waste management, and traqpharma by EVOTEQ, a track-and-trace technology enhancing pharmaceutical supply chain integrity.

بحضور سموّ الشيخة بدور بنت سلطان القاسمي، أبرمت “بيئة” شراكة استراتيجية مع مركز الشارقة لريادة الأعمال (شراع) لإطلاق (DARE 2.0)، وهو مسرّع ابتكار داخلي يهدف إلى ترسيخ ثقافة ريادة الأعمال الداخلية داخل «بيئة» وتمكين الموظفين من إحداث أثر مؤسسي شامل. وقع الاتفاقية كل من خالد الحريمل، الرئيس التنفيذي ونائب رئيس مجلس الإدارة في “بيئة”، وسعادة سارة النعيمي، المدير التنفيذي لمركز الشارقة لريادة الأعمال “شراع”، وذلك خلال مهرجان الشارقة لريادة الأعمال 2026.

وانطلاقاً من شراكتنا الممتدة، سيُطلق هذا الاتفاق برنامجاً منظّماً يطبّق خبرات “شراع” في مسرّعات الأعمال على أولويات الابتكار ضمن “بيئة”، بما يعكس التزامنا المستمر بالاستثمار في الحلول القائمة على تمكين الكفاءات البشرية. وبدعمٍ من ورش عمل متخصصة، وتوجيه خبراء، ومشاركة فاعلة من قياداتنا، سيرافق (DARE 2.0)، المشاركين من مرحلة توليد الأفكار وصولاً إلى التجربة والتوسّع، بما يمكّنهم من مواجهة التحديات المتغيّرة والمساهمة في رسم ملامح مستقبل “بيئة”.

In the presence of Her Highness Sheikha Bodour bint Sultan Al Qasimi, BEEAH has entered a strategic partnership with the Sharjah Entrepreneurship Centre (Sheraa) to launch DARE 2.0, an internal innovation accelerator designed to embed intrapreneurship within BEEAH and empower employees to drive organization-wide impact. Formalized at the Sharjah Entrepreneurship Festival 2026, the agreement was signed by Khaled Al Huraimel, our Group CEO and Vice Chairman, and Her Excellency Sara Al Nuaimi, CEO of Sheraa.

Building on our long-standing partnership, the agreement will kick off a structured program that applies Sheraa’s accelerator expertise to BEEAH’s innovation priorities, reflecting our continued investment in people-driven solutions. Supported by curated workshops, expert mentorship, and active engagement from our leadership, DARE 2.0 will guide participants from ideation to pilot and scale, enabling them to tackle evolving challenges and help shape the future of the organization.

تشرّفنا بتوقيع مذكرة تفاهم مع المصرف المركزي لدولة الإمارات العربية المتحدة، تهدف إلى دعم عمليات المعالجة الآمنة وإعادة تدوير الأوراق النقدية التالفة، بما يسهم في ترسيخ ممارسات الاقتصاد الدائري داخل القطاع المالي. وتأتي هذه المبادرة امتدادًا لشراكاتنا الاستراتيجية المتواصلة مع نخبة من كبرى المؤسسات، وفي إطار دورنا كشريك رائد في الاستدامة والابتكار.

وجرى توقيع المذكرة على هامش أسبوع أبوظبي للاستدامة، حيث وقّعها كلٌّ من محمد بن كوير، رئيس الخدمات المؤسسية في المصرف المركزي لدولة الإمارات العربية المتحدة، وعلي المهيري، المدير الأول للعلاقات المؤسسية – الاستدامة في “بيئة”، وذلك بحضور فهد علي شهيل، الرئيس التنفيذي – الاستدامة في “بيئة”، وسعادة سيف حميد الظاهري، مساعد المحافظ للعمليات المصرفية والخدمات المساندة في المصرف المركزي لدولة الإمارات العربية المتحدة، وبمشاركة عدد من كبار المسؤولين من الجانبين.

ومن خلال هذه الشراكة، ستقدّم “بيئة” حلولًا متخصصة وآمنة ومتوافقة مع المعايير التنظيمية المعتمدة، لإعادة تدوير النفايات وتحويلها إلى قيمة مستدامة، بما يدعم رؤية دولة الإمارات العربية المتحدة في الاستدامة، ويسهم في تحويل النفايات بالكامل بعيدًا عن المكبات.

As a sustainability and innovation partner to leading institutions, we were honored to sign a Memorandum of Understanding with the Central Bank of the UAE (CBUAE) to support the secure processing and recycling of shredded banknotes, advancing circular economy practices within the financial sector.

Formalized on the sidelines of Abu Dhabi Sustainability Week, the MoU was signed by Mohammed Bin Kuwair, Head of Corporate Services at CBUAE, and Ali Al Mheiri, Senior Manager of Business Relations – Environment at BEEAH, in the presence of senior officials from both entities, and witnessed by Fahad Shehail, CEO of Environment at BEEAH, and H.E. Saif Humaid Al Dhaheri, Assistant Governor for Banking Operations and Support Services at CBUAE.

Through this collaboration, we will deliver specialized, compliant and secure solutions that transform regulated waste streams into circular value, supporting the UAE’s sustainability vision and zero-waste ambitions.
