The 1974 'Jeans' VW Beetle interiors were upholstered with faux denim. They couldn't use the real thing because of safety laws concerning real denim. Instead they used painted nylon making the 'Jeans' VW Beetle one of the first examples of using denim as a colour in its own right

The last game at Muntz Street was played in 1906, Small Heath beat Bury 3-0. In 1943, as the city received its charter, they changed their name to Birmingham City FC. There is nothing left of the previous stadium today. #sporthistory

Birmingham City FC began in 1875 as Small Heath Alliance FC, they had a stadium on Muntz Street which had capacity for 10k spectators. Later a wooden stand was added increasing numbers to 30k. By the 1900s, due to Brum's vast expansion this was too small. 1/2
