@clhubes I frequently tell my husband he needs to find a Reddit community or Discord or something where he can overanalyze our son’s media with likeminded people, I have reached a zen like acceptance of Dino Ranch
@clhubes lol my pediatrician misheard my two year old saying one of his favorite foods was candy as carrots… I’d like to think she chose to give me that win
@clhubes Yesss my in-laws were visiting and offered to take my son to the grocery store and I was like PLEASE let me go!!! A solo trip to Whole Foods is like a trip to the spa
@moorehn My big move to start 9th grade was bringing The Stranger to school to carry around with my binder and read before class to look cool. Of course I never finished it and of course absolutely no one in suburban Texas in 2004 thought it was cool 😔
@realgirl_fieri @RRopelius I think it varies drastically by person! I’m lucky 12 weeks was right for me. I was kind of radicalized on this in college when my British cousin’s wife told me it was their right to take up to 6 months paid and 6 months part-paid after that- not we “get” 12 weeks, but a right.
@RRopelius @realgirl_fieri Yes I was ready to go back! I missed my baby and I felt a little cheated that I went back right as he started to be more interactive/exit the 4th trimester potato phase but I was so ready to do something else with my brain and have a break.
