The bottom line is swim programs burn cash and are an easy cut for an AD.
Pools are expensive, travel is expensive, and we haven’t prioritized becoming an asset as much as we should have been for the last 50+ years.
Until we make money, we should act as if we’re always on the chopping block. Because we are.
So thrilled to finally be able to share this one!
Huge thanks to @beefyTshields, family and friends for their time and openness, and to @stevecoulter7 for his help getting this in @nbcbayarea https://t.co/dJ7Iw16mIS
@swim_alchemist Good to hear someone is!!
Who else did? we developed that with me cuz I was so much better at continual no breath strokes and we were Frankensteining a lcm event with my scy stroke
@Braden_Keith WSL has like 4-8 hour days and rotates a team of like 4-7 every few hours for this reason. Also gives different perspectives. Would be good to do that imho. Also could let the color ppl specialize like they did in their career
Hate to “well actually” you but when I was 13-14 I was so scared for the 500 I didn’t notice the person that was racing in the lane I was about too had an heart issue in the middle of lap 14-15 and the only person who was watching and got to her was the lifeguard so there ya go
@Braden_Keith@BarryRevzin Probably isn’t coaches. “We spent XX(X) million, he plays” is certainly still a prevailing mindset in the big 4 with the exception of maybe baseball
