I just spoken to @HCI_Ottawa HE Sanjay Kumar Verma who was very kind & Considerate . For visas to Indo Canadians 70 pcnt is thru BLS in 9 cities & 30 pcnt walk in to indian high Comission & Consulates . There is back log due to visa suspension which shd get cleared soon and visas shd be granted in a 7-10 days from submission to BLS.
For emergency cases of Death, serious illness , wedding etc please apply on Suvidha Portal to nearest Indian Consulate
But its our foremost duty to raise voice against fringe elements who are trying to spoil the atmosphere. Indo Canadians are suffering at their hands. Be Proud of your indian roots @cgivancouver @IndiainToronto @DrSJaishankar @MEAIndia @ANI @thetribunechd

@Munjalsahab @MEAIndia @DrSJaishankar Sir @DrSJaishankar people line up at 6pm at BLS office and get chance to enter at 11am next day in cold weather of 0 degrees. And it will take 2 weeks to get entry visa and people will miss diwali and their functions.

How would a common man compete with this when there are people in line for OCI, surrender certificate etc. ? A family with kids, how would they get to even apply for visa ? #RestoreEvisa

And OCI takes same time. Apart from saving few hundred bucks. There is nothing we getting with this suspensions lift unless they open e-visa.
