I've been in an AWFUL reading slump this summer. I normally average 2-3 books/week but have been MAYBE finishing 1/week. Did I do the correct thing and pick a book I already have to try next? OF COURSE NOT! I sent away for a mystery box of new books from @novelneighbor 😅

Following your therapists advice and having them be right is similar to your mom being right. Mine suggested getting outside and finding a productive hobby on my days off. Did both yesterday and did I feel amazing? Yes. Am I a little salty about that? Also yes 😅

Get a good therapist early, and don't be afraid to reach out for help and lean on your peers. It's truly the most incredible profession and I love almost every second of it. But sometimes we all need some help ❤

I always regret picking up a night shift the day of and the morning after. But I always have so much fun working with my old partners and will therefore learn nothing from this experience and continue to pick up night shifts where I can in the future
