Every day, the same man comes to talk to me between sets.
He greets everyone at the gym the same way and loves to critique fitness and talk about his family.
Not everyone entertains him, which I find is sad.
Today, he said something to me that I think more people in gym culture need to hear.
He said, "I'm an 86-year-old man who struggles to make it to the gym every day, and it's youngsters like you who make me smile, making my whole day worth living."
I hope that the next time you're at the gym, you'll take a moment to encourage strangers.
I hope you understand that the world doesn't revolve around just you; other people struggle too.
Taking the time to hear others, matters. ❤️

I have a Ukrainian boy in one of my classes who spoke no English in Sep. He’s spent all year silently being helped out by the student next to him in my lessons. Today he put his hand up for the first time to answer a question🥹🥹
@JoJoFromJerz Went to a wedding in a wee country church, the groom got to the altar, looked at the bride and suddenly turned and ran out the back door, we all heard (I mean HEARD) him vomiting, then he came back in, smiled meekly and went ahead with the wedding. They eventually divorced.
The Queen was an enduring part of my whole life.We shall never see her like again and I share in the mourning of so many people when I realise the truth of that. This wonderful interview describes a side we didn’t often see.
