@tscottme@HolyRebellion11 Oh boy… another preacher hammering the LDS faith without understanding the actual doctrine.
I suppose talking misinformation about a faith, then getting feedback in the comments section is one way to get up to speed 😅🤦♂️
@FiredUpCoug There is excellent research showing that dad's who rough house with thier kids result in them being better adjusted, confident, capable people, vs. those who didn't get them same as children.
@txsalth2o I say this as a holder of undergrad and grad degrees. She’s likely making one of the wisest decisions she could make given the ROI on the typical undergraduate degree right now.
In my home state, a 4 year degree from a state school ranges from $100k to $150k. Outrageous!
@StewardshipMan@Manhattva@RealMattFradd I spent 2 yrs as a LDS missionary in Eastern Europe. While I was baselessly detained by the police. Spit on by Priests of other denominations. Swore at, disrespected, & mocked, we never got aggressive or argued w/ anyone. To the extent you experienced that it was an anomaly.
@austinknight@WardRadioShow Easy Brother… we laugh at the jokes and mocking aimed our way. You can handle some clean ribbing for the hard to appreciate quirks on your side of the isle too.
@paradiserockies@the_churchnews Or they are managing their assets wisely.
P.S. let’s not be hyperbolic. taxes are ultimately demanded at the end of a barrel. Tithing is voluntarily paid. There’s a massive difference.
@waldenpod I served my LDS mission in Romania, an Orthodox Christian country. I feel we have more in common with the Orthodox than the Catholics. That said, in the US, at least, the Orthodox Church is smaller than the Catholic Church. Also, Catholics are consistently kind to LDS folks.
