🚨 MPs’ renting scandal just went nuclear — and the snout-in-the-trough champion of the week is none other than Labour’s own Deputy Leader, Lucy Powell.
It’s now been exposed that a whole string of MPs have been renting rooms and entire homes to each other at full taxpayer expense. Powell raked in over £30,000 last year alone by renting out a room to another MP. Taxpayer-funded second homes, taxpayer-funded rents flowing straight into fellow MPs’ pockets — a cosy little Westminster property scam that makes the old expenses scandal look like pocket change.
This is the same Labour Party that lectures working Brits about “fairness”, “austerity” and “paying your share” while their own elite treat Parliament like a private members’ club with an unlimited bar tab on your dime. While British families are crushed by sky-high rents, energy bills and taxes to fund this circus, Labour insiders are quietly lining their nests by renting to one another — all perfectly “within the rules,” of course. Because in two-tier Britain, the rules are written by the grifters for the grifters.
Lucy Powell isn’t some backbencher caught with her hand in the till. She’s the Deputy Leader. The second most senior figure in Starmer’s government. The same government that’s busy hiking your taxes, slashing services and telling you to tighten your belt while they play Monopoly with public money.

Our team is currently going through our draft report to ensure that all is legally sound for publication.

The plan is straightforward.

I intend to use parliamentary privilege in the chamber to name a number of the worst perpetrators/officials who we believe have escaped justice.

We will then use private prosecutions to pursue those individuals through the courts, and eventually put them in prison.

These are incredibly dangerous scumbags. It is an national network of organised crime - it is not simply disparate gangs. This is a comprehensive criminal network that is capable of the most evil acts.

I will be informing the police, parliamentary security and the Home Office beforehand of who I intend to name and why - I also now have private security for the first time in my life.

But do not underestimate the danger of these networks. It is organised crime of the very worst kind.

We started this inquiry not to just talk, but to act.

The report will be published after the elections as I want this to be a cross-party effort, and party politics should not interfere with any of our activity.

Numerous Conservative MPs have been supportive, as have the Northern Irish and even a Labour MP attending the hearings. I want this to go beyond petty party politics.

We still have a significant amount of money from the crowdfunder, and that is ready to privately prosecute.

This is where we are. This is the plan.

🛑 Absolute disgrace! Morrisons have just sacked a loyal manager after 29 years for doing what anyone would do, stopping a violent shoplifter who was spitting at him!

Sean Egan is 46 and has been with Morrisons in Aldridge near Walsall since he was just 17. When this serial thief turned nasty, started spitting repeatedly and reached for his bag, Sean stepped in. He grabbed the thug’s arm and took him down to protect his staff and the customers.

And what did Morrisons do?

They sacked him for breaking their pathetic “deter not detain” policy.

Now he’s barely scraping by, last pay packet was back in January and his family are devastated. All because he wouldn’t just stand there and let criminals run wild.

This is what Britain has come to. Hard-working people get punished, while the shoplifters get protected. Staff are left wide open while these big companies hide behind their woke health and safety rules.
Shadow Home Secretary Chris Philp called it shameful, and he’s spot on.

Retailers should be backing their staff, not throwing them under the bus.
