Do you know what the great “saviour” British actually did for Indian women?

In 1899, American women activists Elizabeth Andrew & Katherine Bushnell wrote “The Queen’s Daughters” - a horrifying account of how tens of thousands of Indian women were forcibly raped & turned into “prostitutes” by the British Army. They forcibly took the youngest & prettiest girls from the poorest Indian families & forced them to become “prostitutes” in their Cantonments.

The Infamous Circular Memorandum of June 17, 1886 is a horrifying testimony to this outrage where under the guise of looking after the “health of British soldiers” to protect them from sexually transmitted diseases, officer after officer requested young, attractive Indian girls to satisfy the list of British soldiers. Policemen would go into villages & select the prettiest teenage girls from four families who were then taken to the cantonment to “service” the British soldiers. The previous batch of wretched raped victims who were infected with STDs by the soldiers were then thrown out so that fresh meat could satisfy the soldiers lust. They were carried around in carts like animals wherever the soldiers went. For every 1000 solders there were 12-14 such young girls. You can imagine what horrific lives they led.

This is the actual disgusting & horrifying truth of how the British actually treated Indian women as objects less than animals. And they have the audacity to claim they “rescued” Indian women from Sati!
