@LPL_Airport Any chance of some practical destinations such as Cologne or Prague instead of Alicante and Dublin every half hour and Lapland on winter weekends only?
@merseyrail Same old story on a Sunday. The timetable doesn’t work with the short turnaround at Chester that Merseyrail have had years to change, same old excuses. When it’s only half hourly it’s very inconvenient same passengers getting let down at Rock Ferry to Hooton stations.
@Train_PlaneHub@railexpress Lumo is routed fully under wires. TFW/XC sections are only very partial to the routes operated, I’m sure you’re aware of that. SR 156 issue is temporary. Lumo may be more economical than car/air but that’s not the argument. I’m only asking why electric traction wasn’t an option
@Train_PlaneHub@railexpress Which services do GC, TFW, XC and Scotrail run entirely under wires (not including an occasional 156 to East Kilbride)? 350s used to work Anglo Scottish for TPE, a simple interior refit on the 350/2 would have sufficed. Freight is another issue..
