Throwing my theory out now that Sekhmet and Begtse are in the Everywhen due to being subdued by their own pantheons and are seeking revenge for that.
Sekhmet famously had to be subdued by Ra after she became too violent toward humanity. Begtse was subdued and bound by Ekajati to curb his and his sister's power, a part of the story that turned them from their Mongolian roots into sworn protectors of Buddhism.
While in the original myths, both war gods were made passive by their pantheons, it's likely this story deals with them either being banished to Everywhen or killed by their brethren and seeking revenge.
been replaying The Witcher 3 once again recently (no idea how many playthroughs I've done now) and it's still *THAT* game man I'm sorry it's just a generational experience.
Both of them became monsters, responsible for countless deaths, because they sought revenge against gods.
But what makes their love so beautiful is that they came together, to start a family and grow beyond being the savages that their cruel world turned them into.
currently watching the game director interview and she says "we get the RETURN and discovery of a lot of different mythologies"
Oh I'm begging you SSM
let me beat that motherfucker's ass ONE MORE TIME
Laufey is always a comfort to Kratos throughout his norse journey (as bittersweet some memories were). To see it in reverse, him being the motivational comfort to help push onward - is amazing. I love seeing how important they were to each other 🥺❤
was sat in discord theorising where this was set and where Faye was only to discover it's linked to this fucking mask and how it's covered in multiple languages from different realms and I'm losing my fucking MIND
