A6: I think not only planning with SEL in mind and a lot of intentional modeling but also taking time for when an opportunity pops up to slide it in to model and encourage is important too. Real time situations= opportunity to integrate it everywhere. #BESPLC

@LaurenN81031384 @SamanthaLCoy I agree we have done goal setting well but my goal is to implement the weekly goal setting like you and other did and making time to reflect and revise which seems daunting as far as where do I fit it time wise.

A5: we do goal setting and reflection a lot in specific subjects. I plan on starting a weekly goal setting that some of my team tried this year. It is important to set and reflect but I also think the time to discuss reflections is important to revise goals. #BESPLC

A4: I share with my students times I’ve struggled or did not understand it but persevered through it so they are more comfortable. I think letting them share also with each other will create a level of comfort #BESPLC

@SarahElliott002 I do this too! I also tell them that I made a mistake or I don’t get something It lets them see you as a person who isn’t perfect but still keeps trying their hardest too. I’ve had kids tell me I made a mistake but I went and fixed it like you did when you did yesterday.

A3: I think our choice boards for S.S. And Science are a great example of this and choice and accountabilitycould be given in all subjects. Creating these elearning choice boards has given me a lot of ideas of how to bring in more choice for the kids. #BESPLC

A5: My goal is to learn the competencies in and out and make sure to MAKE time several times a day to model and implement. The phrase practic what you preach will be my motto because I as an adult need to do this too. I would like to see this implemented first hand. #BESPLC

@DinkelJill I agree, we have to model our processing and thinking of emotions just like any other thing we teach. We have be be there for each other not just for us but it impacts the students in the Lon run too. A well supported teacher can do more for there students and coworker.

A4: I think just by discussing it is bringing to light what some of my coworkers may need from me. It helps to build and solidify the relationships we have and lets me know I’m not alone in my struggles, which makes me more comfortable in asking for help with things. #BESPLC

@GardWillis I had the same reaction at first but then realized there are many places that we already do some but others where it can be embedded into our normal schedule.

A3: mine would be the misconception of what the competencies meant. Yes I had the big picture but there was more to them than I thought. Knowing what they mean and what you should be able to do will help me gage where each child is within that competency. #BESPLC
