@kerryeggers@BeaverBaseball The Cougs would give the Huskies a beat down, but it looks like they don't play them this year. The theory of transativity doesn't work in sports.
@tcuwbb Good. The last of the treacherous eight won't make it to the Final Four. Had they stayed at OSU, the odds are they would have. I'm not bitter, just stating facts. #GoBeavs
@HawkEmDownChris Too easy....Bill Walton. As a Portland native, I'll always wonder how great that 1977 team would have been in the following years had he stayed healthy.
@ReboundRundown He has a point. Look at how the WCC does it. The bottom four teams would have to win six games to make it in. The top two need only two games, while the next two need just three games. No wonder Gonzaga and St. Marys are locks.
@StanHagen1 I was at that game! Long drive back to Portland, so we didn't even stay for the second game of the regional. I think the loss to ASU the previous week messed with our psyche.
@kerryeggers@BeaverMBB All that may be true, but IMO the coaching was questionable. Poor starts to many games, inconsistent starting lineups, head scratching substitutions, and too much hand waving from the sidelines.
@BeaverMBB A few highs, but lots of lows. Great recruiter, questionable coaching. My number one beef is the revolving door with the starters. Back in my day, it was Blume, Radford, Johnson, Stout, Holbrook. It seldom changed.
