@z3r0c001_ I’m doing MECEP so I currently have about 40 credits (only 12 are required to be eligible for MECEP) and I will be going to college next year!
Survived (and thrived) OCS 🎉
I haven’t felt my toes since May but I’m bursting with gratitude for the support I received through this process and I’m excited about this journey to becoming a commissioned officer.
Next step: college!
Officially submitted my MECEP package to the board, my fate is now in the hands of the powers that be 🥳
Board convenes in April so I’ll find out some time after that!
Ya girl got accepted for MECEP 🥹 I’m going to be a commissioned officer in the Marine Corps after OCS and the completion of my degree. I can’t wait to start this next chapter in my career 🎉
Any advice from prior enlisted who went officer is warmly welcomed!
All barracks should at the very least have a communal kitchen. I feel for the junior service members who struggle to properly nourish themselves because the chow halls are mediocre at best & there are hardly any authorized appliances for cooking.
@thenicoleedge I’ve applied for a commissioning program so my boyfriend and I will be in this situation sooner than we are comfortable with 🥲
I hope you two are able to make the best decision for your relationship and for yourselves, I’d love to see this policy change
