Many collectors gatekeep access to their rare props and costumes with the notion that sharing them devalues their investment or makes them less special. Completely their right, to be clear; but still a shame for the countless fans across the world who'd love to continue appreciating them and giving them life, and ultimately a risk to eventually losing those items to history when those individuals leave this Earth. In our humble opinion, the legacy deserves to be shared and celebrated by all — that's how #PowerRangers lives on. That said, we'd much rather 'lose' artifacts to private collections than the [literal] wood chipper.

The good news? You can help us raise funds via subscriptions or direct donations! 100% of funds raised are directly reinvested back into our infrastructure and acquisitions.

Sad to say it is not likely we will be attending PMC this year. It's possible plans will change but as of right now with the cost of getting to Cali and August being crazy busy already it won't work out. We'll be at Collect-a-Con KC June 22nd and 23rd though!

@retrocenter @Synersist So slight update: I've had zero luck so far. Odds are any and all Turbo cars that were once in museums are either in private collections or various forms of lost. I'll keep it on my list of "obscure Saban things to track down" but unfortunately that list rarely gets results lol.

@retrocenter @Synersist I'll see if anything comes from calling the other places tomorrow during business hours. Sadly alot of private museums aren't great at keeping records so if they did have a Turbo car staff memory might be the best we get :/ provenance isn't a key feature of car museums sadly lol.

@retrocenter @Synersist I just called the Hollywood Star Cars Museum and the employee said she's fairly certain when they first opened they had the red ranger car but that it left the collection before anyone who currently works there had started. She suggested a few other museums to call so we'll see!

When Turbo: A Power Rangers Movie went into production in 1996, the script called for something special- full size, functioning Zord vehicles.

To accomplish this, the production turned to Hollywood car customizer George Barris. (1/9)
