@julia_doubleday Ok I am as frustrated and outraged as you but can we stop with the boomer bashing? Younger people don’t mask either!
This boomer, on the other hand, does, and has not been sick with anything since January 2019 🤷♀️
Don't ever forget that your government upgraded the air filtration in its main government buildings during an airborne pandemic, but not the hospital you attend or your mum's care home or your kids' daycare or prisons or shelters.
This isn’t “people aren’t being told”.
People didn’t reject information because it was unavailable, but because fully accepting it would have conflicted with the life they wanted to resume.
That’s why curiosity vanished the moment the threat became psychologically inconvenient.
@julia_doubleday You are 💯 right. The hubris will cause so much unnecessary suffering and death. Why not drastically quarantine all those people and be done with it. It boggles the mind.
Respirator masks like N95s will prevent hantavirus infection.
Clean air will drastically reduce hantavirus spread.
We already have the tools, people just need to use them.
Public health requires everyone’s participation.
“You do you” gets people killed.
Quarantining during a public health threat is not a punishment.
It’s not a violation of your freedoms.
It’s part of being in a society.
You do not have the right to spread a dangerous and deadly disease to others.
Robust public health measures save lives.
Watching everyone panic about the cruise ship passengers knowing full well they themselves have been waltzing around spreading and catching covid for the last six years without a care in the fucking world is a special kind of hell.
@julia_doubleday It’s a complete mystery to me, too! Even if it is not a deadly virus you catch, why even risk getting sick at all? It makes zero sense, and yet I am the one that gets stared at at the airport in my mask! 🫣
If anything this should be a stark reminder that the selfish anti public health culture we’ve bred has ppl hopping on commercial flights on their LITERAL DEATH BEDS, no masks, and yall still mock those of us who wear our N95s at the airport
@LazarusLong13@WHO Which is why on the occasions that I had to clean out mouse droppings I have worn a respirator and goggles and gloves, and disposed of the droppings separately immediately. Scary stuff
