@askparamount Macbook, Chrome. Same on my Android phone with Chrome. My TCL TV simply is behaving in a non-deterministic way and will put me in a loop with the menus.
Hey @AskParamount why can I not watch Milan v. Torino? I get a non-descriptive error on my TV and I get a VPN message on my computer. I do not use VPN.
I am missing the opening game and I am very bummed.
Me: Needs to install megacli b/c RAID and hardware are still a thing
Internet: Use this deb repo b/c convenient
Me: Checks the repo. 2021 was last update
I feel dirty. I also am remembering the good old days of managing hardware. It's easy. There were like 4 of 'em.
Remember the telephone?
Remember missing a call?
Remember thinking, "if it's important they'll call back."
Remember walking out of the house to an uninterrupted hours of fun, docs, accomplishment?
Maybe phones these days aren't smart enough.
@pczarkowski I've been thinking about this a _lot_. In order and two things come to mind:
* shift-left has to be towards a team of mixed skillsets not an indivdual.
* tools need to favor fixing errors over finding them in the form of pull requests and at all levels of the stack.
@wickett @nimbinatus She should know! She, @DariaIlic, @sdmouton and many others have stepped up to replace us while improving the experience. It's one of the best experiences I've had in the last year to see this change in stewardship! woot @nimbinatus !!!!
Why aren’t we talking about tools that improve “ilities” by taking action? Many report flaws: PMD, Rust’s Clippy & Checkov, but very few are as ruthless as Python’s Black.

@tottinge > unpredictable work needs better estimates
I'm getting old and feeble but I think I learned about oxymorons back in the 80's. Are those still a thing?
Why is my dev friend moaning about more security training? What is his company trying to fix?! Let's stop fixing the humans and imagine an new class of tools to be more humane.

I grow weary of "full stack developer." It's a myth and does the humans carrying such titles a great dis-service. Can we change the conversation to full stack _teams_ and govern that with Dunbar's numbers?
@jessfraz Well if it's on Amazon it will be in about 4 seasons from now with generally fading quality. If it's on Netflix it will be canceled and we will never know.
Do you love DevOps? Do you want a job that's a mix of software development, community engagement, writing, and speaking? If so, come work for me. https://t.co/pznxUV4pP8
