@TheSocrateej it's pretty hard to claim the gerontocracy we live under currently is in any way the responsibility of the generation that came after the boomers that are currently in charge.
once boomers fade out, gen x will have actual sovereignty.
@PhilippusArabus a good way to understand it is to try to take a wheeled hand cart and steer it going forward and reverse.
you can get into much tighter spaces in reverse than going forward.
however, there is indeed a high correlation of bad drivers backing into spaces.
I can agree that crypto is experimental. I can even accept that most of the current chains will fail and the space will be better because of what we learn from these failures.
The thing that annoys me is lessons aren’t being learned. The ability to mine empty blocks got fixed years ago yet most chains still can’t prevent this action.
This is why I Decred!

@MarcHochstein@sethforprivacy btc onchain activity has been low because retail is increasingly getting "priced out" of the market and is being displaced by IIs.
IIs don't actively use btc, they passively accumulate and hold it.
@vladcostea we're getting close to having support for xmr on bisonwallet/dcrdex, it does work.
iirc one of the challenges is that the xmr swaps have to occur in a particular order, so both a maker and a taker fill have the same order. it's messy
