UK Parliament: Cross-party MPs and Peers urge UK to recognise Maryam Rajavi’s Provisional Government and proscribe the IRGC

On 10 June 2026, the British Committee for Iran Freedom (BCFIF) organised a cross-party meeting in the UK Parliament chaired by its Co-chair, Bob Blackman CBE MP. Attended by MPs, Peers, human rights lawyers, NCRI representatives and Anglo-Iranian groups, the meeting urged the UK Government to support Iran’s democratic movement.Participants called for recognition of the NCRI’s Provisional Government led by Maryam Rajavi, proscription of the IRGC, and urgent international accountability to end executions. They stressed that the regime is weaponising regional conflict to tighten repression and eliminate organised resistance.Bob Blackman announced a joint statement endorsed by more than 30 religious leaders from Britain, Europe and the United States.
