@TonyNatif Ugandans of European decent who played for Uganda Cranes? Zero? I doubt!! Edgar Watson captained the Cranes...just that we normally forget his European ancestry.. I will not mention Capradossi...
@GabrielBuule Splitting districts. He increased the number of districts from 19 to 37... Some of the districts he created were really needed... Kasese, Bundibugyo, Kitgum...Apac, Kamuli...
@SpireJim@AfricaFirsts But then again... using the phrase, "only place in the world"... is very brave. There are documented cases in USA much earlier than 1879. There are talked about cases in China, Europe and ancient myths about Julius Ceaser...
Among the few places? Yes!!!! Only? I doubt.
@SamsonMKasumba@kampala_solomon First name.... otherwise the term Christian name may be confusing.. I mean is Asimwe a Christian name? Tumuhimbise? How about Kizito? Gyaviira ? Mbaga?
@cobbo3 It is big and involves control of resources. The moment something grows big and controls huge amount of resources...., it starts attracting politics and corruption.
@ArthurFour4@nikita_helene Guys work in Kampala central division but live in Kawempe, Nakawa, Rubaga, Wakiso. Given the size of Monaco; it's much smaller than Kampala central division, I guess guys can stay in France and ride or drive across the "border" to work on a daily.
@NahabweNk1@naxaraktirian98@aliza_pearl@Rugusuki The difference between Buganda's case and Ethiopia's case was not on calling European or having African collaborators. Both cases had collaborators, and both cases had treaties.
@NahabweNk1@naxaraktirian98@aliza_pearl@Rugusuki The Italians also had African collaborators. They signed a treaty of protection with Ethiopia... which the Emperor Menelik understood to mean a treaty of cooperation. They Italians tried to enforce the treaty, but Menelik told them off. They came with troops and got beaten.
@NahabweNk1@naxaraktirian98@aliza_pearl@Rugusuki Granted... but I am relating all this to "Kabaka calling Europeans" and some countries having never been colonised. Ethiopia was never colonised. Ethiopia also had Europeans and signed treaties with them just as Buganda did.....
@NahabweNk1@naxaraktirian98@aliza_pearl@Rugusuki And they were never colonised because they did not deal with Europeans? Or because they fought off the Europeans who had been allocated their part of the world?
