🚨 If VAR can call the Ref over to check for Yellow Card Offences Why wasn't the Ref Called When Messi Stomped the foot of Algerian Player from the back with being nowhere near the ball
Why is it that whenever and however it favours Argentina, the VAR and Football Rules are bent
No identity is mistaken. Ref just gets the call wrong. That’s different. So you can argue a wrong call/wrong punishment can and should be changed (those who want more VAR powers do), but it’s setting a re-ref everything type precedent. The referee hasn’t mixed up any identities. He has just been sold by a dive.
Dear @FA, can we invite Mexico for a Wembley friendly, please? Outside Azteca, England fans swapping shirts with Mexicans, England fans and Mexicans drinking and singing together. Mexico been wonderful hosts. Be great to see them and their fans at Wembley. Not been since 2010.
Harry Maguire is the ONLY English centre back that has won over 65% of both his aerial and ground duels in the Premier League this season.
Should be on the plane. 😳
Jeff Bezos paid $500M for his super-yacht and $75M for his super-yacht’s mini-yacht — both of which he’s allowed to write-off on his taxes.
That alone would cover $180 in classroom supplies for every public school teacher in the U.S.
1 - Casemiro tonight made 11 tackles, won 16 duels and made 9 clearances - he is the only player in the last 20 seasons to record all of those numbers in a single Premier League match. Everywhere.
The VAR wanted a closer look at a potential hair pull by Dominic Calvert-Lewin on Marc Cucurella...
Nothing doing. The Leeds United forward had his hair pulled by Manchester United Lisandro Martinez at Old Trafford — the Argentinian was shown a red card...
𝗣𝗼𝘁𝗲𝗻𝘁𝗶𝗮𝗹 𝗵𝗮𝗶𝗿 𝗽𝘂𝗹𝗹. Modern football.
This is really sad to see from a Utd legend and it’s obviously personal. I don’t know if it has anything to do with how the class of 92 as well as Giggs were viewed by Utd during Woodward’s time or not but it’s one of the reasons why the Utd job is so hard. No other club manager in the PL has to deal with this,
A "Sir" worth £30,000,000,000 and who moved his residency to Monaco to avoid tax....calls out immigrants as the problem.
This man is the manifestation of all that's wrong with society, not the poor person seeking a better life.
Calling immigrants “a drain” doesn’t match the facts.
According to UK government data:
• Around 76% of Universal Credit claimants are White
• About 84% are British, Irish, or have right of abode
• Only 16% were born outside the UK
Out of roughly 7.9 million UC claimants, about 6.6 million are British or Irish, and 1.3 million are foreign-born.
So the idea that immigrants are “draining the system” just isn’t supported by the evidence.
This kind of language from Jim Ratcliffe isn’t leadership, it’s scapegoating.
If the country has serious problems, it should deal with them honestly, not blame migrants for issues they didn’t create.
Kick It Out statement:
Sir Jim Ratcliffe’s comments are disgraceful and deeply divisive at a time when football does so much to bring communities together.
In addition to the inaccurate figures mentioned, it’s worth reminding him that Manchester United has a diverse fan base and plays in a city whose cultural history has been enriched by immigrants.
This type of language and leadership has no place in English football, and we believe most fans will feel the same.
Imagine if you’re a commercial partner with Utd or considering becoming one, does any of this make the club more attractive? What about the immigrants who work and play for Utd, how do they feel right now? Unless you’ve ever been an immigrant, you won’t know. If someone had’ve asked me who made that statement about immigrants, I’d have said Farage, Robinson or Nick Griffin, not the co-owner of Manchester United.
