Men and women who take parenting seriously both sacrifice for their children. And domestic chores are NOT the only way to sacrifice. Men are very often taking the brunt of the administrative tasks, the accounting, the family future planning, the family investments etc. What’s your family health insurance? Do you live in a good school district? Will you have enough $$ invested in the right places for the kids to go to college/start a business when they’re older? Fathers are every day making choices for the benefit of the family over and against their own freedom, personal ambition and happiness. But because we are a woman centred society, no one ever sees the work and sacrifices of fathers. They only recognize fathers when they’re doing the mother’s work. I for one find this infuriating and sad.
